CardMitra guide: NFC vs QR codes for Google reviews

NFC and QR codes are two ways to open the same Google review destination. NFC uses a compatible phone held near a chip; QR uses a camera or scanner pointed at a printed code. Both need internet to load Google, neither can submit a review for a customer, and a direct review link may be enough when you do not need physical hardware.

When an NFC tap is useful

NFC can be convenient for a face-to-face invitation: hold the card close to the phone's NFC antenna and let the customer open the detected link. Device support, settings, cases and antenna location can affect the tap.

Do not promise that every phone taps. Keep QR or a direct link available when the phone lacks NFC or the tap fails.

When a QR code is enough

A QR code can go on a counter notice, receipt or existing printed card. It needs a camera or scanner that supports QR codes, and a clear, undamaged print with adequate contrast.

Google offers a review-link QR option, so there is no need to buy hardware just to make a review invitation. Try it first if your only requirement is opening Google's form.

Why CardMitra uses a permanent card address

An assigned CardMitra card's NFC and QR point to its permanent card ID. The resolver opens the linked published profile, where the business can provide contacts, Maps and a review link.

Editing the profile or username does not require a new permanent card address. This differs from printing a QR that points directly to an old username or unrelated temporary URL.

Costs and requirements to check

The CardMitra flagship physical-card preview amount is ₹2,499, or ₹1,499 with Mitra40. Physical commerce remains preview-only; do not treat these figures as confirmation of stock, live payment or dispatch.

Both methods need internet for the destination. The NFC chip is not an offline profile or an automatic Google-review submission device.

Keep the invitation fair

Offer every customer the same chance to leave an honest review. Do not condition Google access on four or five stars, and do not offer incentives for reviews.

Customers select the final stars, write or paste their own text and submit from their own Google account. Neither a card nor a QR code guarantees reviews or higher search positions.
