Digital business card vs paper: what actually changes

A digital business card is an editable contact profile shared by link, supported NFC tap or QR scan. Unlike printed details, the profile can be updated and can offer an optional enquiry form. It needs a working device and internet; paper can be read without either.

You stop running out at the wrong moment

A reusable CardMitra card can share the same profile across introductions without handing the physical card away. Continued use depends on its condition, phone compatibility and service availability.

Your details are never out of date

A paper card is frozen the day it is printed. Change jobs, numbers or cities and a box of cards becomes waste. With CardMitra you edit your profile once and every card you have ever handed out — and every card still in your pocket — shows the new details, because the card points to a permanent ID rather than frozen print.

The exchange becomes two-way

Paper is one-way: you give, they take, and you hope. On a CardMitra profile the visitor can send their own name, number and email back to you in seconds. You get a real lead in your connections inbox and an email notification, instead of wondering whether your card survived their pocket.

What paper still does well

Paper is cheap to hand to a crowd and needs no phone at all. You can keep paper cards for those moments and use a digital profile when editable details and clickable links are more useful.
