Check the exact phone model
Look for NFC web-link tag reading in the manufacturer's instructions, not only contactless payments. The chip stores an address, not an offline copy of your profile. A supported browser and internet are still required.
Try the tap on iPhone
Wake the phone and bring its top near the card. On models supporting background tag reading, follow the link notification. Apple documents device-state and model restrictions; not every iPhone behaves identically.
A detected link does not automatically save a contact. The visitor opens the profile and decides whether to download and save your details.
Try the tap on Android
Check that the model has NFC and enable it if required. Hold the card near the documented NFC antenna, often on the back, and follow the detected link. Settings and antenna location differ by manufacturer.
If no link appears, reposition slowly and try without a thick or metal case. Use QR or a direct link rather than promising every phone will tap.
Test QR and the published destination
Keep the whole printed QR visible and let a supported camera or scanner focus. Apple's Camera or Code Scanner can open QR links on supported devices. Check that the intended profile and contact details appear.
Test on another phone before an event. Assigned CardMitra cards use permanent IDs; a card with no public destination opens the homepage. Physical-card commerce remains preview-only.
